Client:Café Nero
Product:Epoxy SL
From its Roastery Plant in London, Café Nero supplies the coffee to all its coffee houses worldwide
TPS360 were instructed to install a high-quality flooring to cover a 1,480m² area. The system needed to be durable, sustainable with thermal capabilities of up to 70°
Preparation
The substrate was prepared using our 950RX planetary grinding machine and edge grinder, removing
contaminants and weakness to give a clean, sound load-bearing surface
Priming
The prepared concrete received a priming coat of Epoxy ST100 by roller
Self-Smoothing Topping
The primed surface was coated with Remmers Epoxyflex Coating PH as a flow system to the desired
thickness. Applied by trowel and spike roller in two directions to release air and give a smooth
surface. Addition of Accelerator PH to reduce walk on time to 4 hours

Client:Trade Centre Wales
Product:FeRFA Type 3 – Remmers Epoxy BS3000
Wales largest car supermarket, Trade Centre Wales required a floor that was not only aesthetically appealing, but also durable and easy to clean
TPS360 was appointed to create a safe and durable flooring, that would provide a non-slip solution to constant foot traffic and slow-moving vehicles.
The 1600m2 area was treated with a FeRFA Type 3 high-build epoxy coating system (Remmers Epoxy BS3000 SG), applied in two coats with a special anti-slip bead added to ensure staff safety.
Before coating, the existing workshop floor had to be properly prepared using our state-of-the-art diamond grinding equipment, used to create a suitable substrate for the epoxy resin flooring.
The surface preparation and resin coating had to be undertaken to strict deadlines in order to be considerate to an existing equipment delivery schedule at the workshop, and for that reason a breathable flooring system was selected to reduce dry-out times and customer inconvenience.
During installation, humidity levels were carefully monitored, with temporary heating and ventilation systems employed by TPS360 to overcome concerns that the resin curing process could be hampered.
Our careful system selection and working practises led to a clean, professional, hardwearing and safe finish for this major new car workshop.

Product:FeRFA Type 8 – very heavy-duty resin flooring
Global leader in the production of rigid plastic film solutions, Klöckner Pentaplast required a heavy duty, chemical resistant floor surface in their manufacturing site in South Wales
Flowcrete HF polyurethane flow applied (2-3mm) Resin was specified and installed.
Trowel applied, Flowcrete HF with its microbial/fungal resistance properties, provides control of most bacteria and Fungai which come into contact with the floor ensuring a hygienic, easy to clean, low maintenance and sterile surface.
Due to strict time constraints in this busy manufacturing environment, minimal downtime was required.
At a room temperature of 20°C, light traffic was permitted after just 24hrs, full traffic after 48hrs with full chemical cure after 7 days.

Product advantages
Cleaning methods
Mechanical scrubber/dryers satisfactory but not with regular use of abrasive pads
Typical areas of use
Client:Orangebox
Location:Cardiff
Product:Polished Concrete
Orangebox needed a floor surface that was not only robust and hard wearing, but also aesthetically pleasing and in-fitting with the nature of the business
An area in excess of 9,000m² was ground and polished, exposing the natural aggregates in the concrete to produce a very hard wearing, high quality finish.
The entire process involved the removal of the top layers of material, refining the surface to expose the stronger underlying concrete. The concrete was then ground and polished with planetary grinding equipment and diamond tools; resulting in a polished surface of the highest quality, both functionally and aesthetically which is easy to maintain and has a life expectancy of 25+ years.

Product:Polished Concrete
Valley Wholesale Carpets Ltd took ownership of an old warehouse in Newport South Wales, and contacted TPS360 to assist with surface preparation before deciding on the desired floor finish
It was suggested to the client that polished concrete would be an ideal solution for this retail warehouse.
Preparation:
There were a number of contaminants on top of the substrate including 6-8mm of water-based
screed, tile adhesive and a number of bolts in the floor. All contamination was removed, bolt holes
filled and a number of repairs carried out to the substrate.
Refining:
The substrate was then ground and polished to a 3000-grit finish. A penetrating concrete densifier
was applied during the polishing process to prevent future dusting.
Refining the substrate to this standard, results in a heard wearing dust free finish, that is also one of the most environmentally friendly floor finishes with very low life cycle costs.
Benefits:
Client:ASDA
Location:Redditch
Product:Polished Concrete
Bringing the old floor back to life
Supermarket giant ASDA were moving to new premises previously occupied by B&Q and asked us to transform the dull grey existing concrete floor; they required a durable and robust but aesthetically pleasing finish which was as easy to maintain as the traditionally used terrazzo tiles.
Specifying and installing TPS360 Polished Concrete produced the glossy desired finish; resulting in a brilliant, easy to clean, environmentally friendly and hard wearing polished concrete floor that uses as much as 30 times less energy than traditional flooring solutions, and reflects light gently off the floor.

Product:Polished Micro Screed
World renowned coffee chain Starbucks required a floor surface that was not only robust and hard wearing, but also aesthetically pleasing and in fitting with the nature of the business for their new shops in Swansea.
TPS360’s micro screeds, polished using the HTC Superfloor processes provide a ‘polished concrete effect’ when the existing substrate is not suitable for polishing, where basic screed systems have been installed over underfloor heating or where floor covering systems such as tiles and vinyl’s have been previously installed.

Product:FeRFA Type 8 – Mondéco Mirrazzo
TPS360 were successful in the competitive process to be selected by main contractor Kier to play a key role in redeveloping Wales’ most popular heritage attraction within tight timescales and budgetary restrictions.
Utilising funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Welsh Government, St Fagan's National History Museum in Cardiff underwent a massive £25m makeover that included both new build and refurbishment works both of which TPS360 were an integral part of.
This project was part of a large new build and refurbishment development to upgrade the museum. We were involved at the early stages and assisted with specification and planning alongside many other trades on a very tight programme.
Throughout the main contract it was evident that the build was behind schedule, and as a result our works were delayed. Timings became more critical as well as having to deal with product storage and protection through the winter months; a hot storage area with infrared heaters was created to artificially keep the resin and aggregate at a minimum temperature of 20 degrees.

Client:South Devon College
Location:Paignton
Product:Polished Concrete
South Devon College requested a terrazzo effect finish over underfloor heating and a sand and cement base.
TPS360 specified and installed TRU® PC Polished Concrete which is a high-flow topping that simulates polished concrete after grinding and polishing to expose the aggregate.
TRU PC is a multipurpose product that is ideal for individual and creative design; for attractive, unique design of prestigious interiors, such as sales rooms, restaurants, foyers, museums, schools, airports, administrative buildings.
TRU PC contains 0% Portland cement using CSA cement as a replacement; this is not only environmentally a better option but also has 80% less chance of cracking due to its very low shrinkage properties. The product is bonded to the substrate using an epoxy with quartz scatter, mixed and poured, levelled with a gage rake and spike roller is used to remove air. Rapid strength gain is another major benefit reaching 35nm in 24 hours and 48nm in 28 days making it ideal for heavy and high traffic areas.

A whole-life comparison of polished concrete v the traditionally used epoxy resin flooring was carried out; resulting in a saving of just under £1m over a 25- year period. Unlike older epoxy coverings, the polished concrete by far exceeded expectations, and provided a solution to flooring issues, which included adhesion and delamination of coatings.
