US-Based Premium Athleisure Wear Retailer

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Appointed by C. Erison Shop Fitters to deliver high-specification flooring at a premium US-based lifestyle and athleisure retailer’s flagship store in Covent Garden, London. This project followed several successful store installations for the same brand across the UK and Ireland.

The brief called for a seamless, durable floor finish to complement the brand’s clean, modern retail aesthetic and withstand high daily footfall.

SCOPE OF WORK

Full substrate preparation, concrete repair, and installation of a specialist resin system were carried out across both ground and first floors.

Works included:

P Mechanical grinding to expose aggregate, followed by refining to remove scratches

P Precision edge preparation of all floor areas

P Priming with Weber 4716

P Rapid-set concrete repairs to the ground floor

P First-floor levelling and screeding using Weber 4150 at 4 mm over pinned board

P Application of Duracryl Biopolymer primer

P Installation of Durastone Biopolymer SL resin with broadcast aggregate

P Final Prefinish seal coat

CHALLENGES

The city-centre location presented logistical constraints, including limited site access, no on-site parking, and the need to work within a live fit-out environment. The programme was phased to maintain efficiency and ensure integration with other trades. Consistent subfloor levels were essential to achieving the required finish quality and long-term performance.
