As we move into the new year, we wanted to take a look back at some of the successes and milestones that we achieved in 2023. In a year marked by challenges and opportunities alike, we continued to provide quality flooring solutions across a variety of sectors and businesses. There have been many opportunities and projects that we have worked on that we are extremely proud of, as well as new initiatives that we have launched in our business. 

The year 2023 stands out as a remarkable chapter in our company’s history, as we proudly celebrated our 15th anniversary. This milestone is not just a measure of time but a reflection of our sustained excellence in the industry. Over a decade and a half, we have not only grown as a business but have also created enduring relationships with our clients, collaborators, and the wider community.  

The relationships we’ve nurtured over these years are at the heart of our success. Our clients have always been more than just customers; they are partners in our journey. The trust and loyalty we’ve earned from them are invaluable, and it’s their continuous support that has propelled us forward. As we move into a new year we will continue to further the work we have started and will continue to develop our expertise across the flooring industry. This will allow us to provide the same quality of work that we have become known for. 

Here are some of the highlights of our year in 2023.  

Women in Property:

One exciting moment for us in 2023 was the participation of some of our team members in Women in Property South Wales. By joining this network, our team members have not only actively contributed to its mission but also reaped significant benefits. This mission, dedicated to elevating the presence and profile of women in the industry, aligns seamlessly with our goals of professional growth and development. Our team’s engagement with Women in Property South Wales is a testament to our dedication to these values and our ongoing efforts to enhance them within our industry. Their involvement demonstrates the importance of fostering diversity and inclusivity in the construction sector across all flooring types, including sustainable concrete. 

Apprenticeships:

The year 2023 marked an exciting development in our team dynamics with the introduction of our new apprenticeship programme. We opened our doors to a diverse group of young, enthusiastic individuals, each bringing their unique perspectives and a surge of fresh energy.  

These apprentices have quickly become integral to our workforce, bringing with them innovation and a willingness to learn. Their presence has reinforced our long-standing commitment to nurturing and cultivating the next generation of industry professionals. By investing in these young minds, we’re not just shaping the future of our company but also contributing to the broader development of our industry. 

Young Minds Initiative:

To further our dedication to development and learning, we introduced the Young Minds Initiative. This program is focused on creating avenues for emerging talent to discover, gain knowledge, and make significant contributions. It’s an effort aimed at securing a more promising and enlightened future for the industry. This will help to foster future developments across flooring types, such as sustainable concrete. 

Expansion in Tamworth:

2023 was a period of significant growth for our Tamworth team, as we welcomed three new members to our workforce. This expansion has been a substantial boost to our operational capabilities, enabling us to offer a broader range of services, including sustainable concrete and expertise. More importantly, it has reinforced our presence in the Tamworth region, providing us with a stronger platform to effectively meet the needs of our clients and engage more actively with the local community. 

With this expanded team, we are now further equipped to handle larger and more complex projects, delivering the high-quality service that our clients have come to expect. Our increased presence in Tamworth signifies our commitment to being a key player in the region’s growth and development. 

Diversifying into New Sectors:

2023 was a year when we moved into new industry sectors. By broadening our range of expertise and services, we were able to engage in a greater variety of projects. Our ability to embrace and excel in these new areas highlighted our commitment to staying ahead of industry trends and responding proactively to our clients’ changing requirements. 

Iconic Projects:

Among the highlights of 2023 were the landmark projects we had the privilege to work on, such as Penderyn and Steamhouse. These significant undertakings not only presented us with unique challenges but also offered a platform to showcase our expertise and commitment to excellence in flooring. These projects pushed us and demanded innovative solutions and meticulous attention to detail.  

Delivering these projects has been instrumental in reinforcing our reputation as a leader in our field. It has also been a testament to the skill and dedication of our team, who have consistently risen to the occasion, delivering outstanding work under demanding circumstances. As we reflect on these achievements, we are inspired to pursue even more ambitious projects in the future, continuing to push the envelope in terms of quality and innovation.

As we celebrate our achievements in 2023, we also look forward to 2024, where we will continue our commitment to raising the bar in the industrial and commercial flooring sector.
