Project Overview
TPS360 was engaged to deliver a premium flooring installation for Alo Yoga’s flagship store on Grafton Street, Dublin. The project spanned 300m² and involved installing durable flooring systems that reflect the brand’s luxurious aesthetic while withstanding heavy foot traffic. The polished concrete-inspired design provided a seamless and contemporary finish, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Scope of Works
The project included the removal of existing materials and preparation of the substrate, followed by:
Installation of 18mm marine ply over floorboards for structural support.
Application of primer and scratch coat to ensure adhesion.
Hand-laid Duracryl Durastone flooring in Slate Grey, inspired by polished concrete aesthetics.
Grinding and sealing to achieve a smooth, hard-wearing surface.
Challenges
This polished concrete-style project required careful planning due to limited mixing space, necessitating phased preparation and material transport. Precise alignment of the flooring with staircase heights was critical to maintaining a seamless look. Additionally, phased handovers ensured the first floor was completed and ready before starting the ground floor, requiring close coordination with other trades to avoid delays.
